In today's class, you will be issued a vinyl record, Your job will be as follows:
- Find a word from one of the song titles to be used as your theme. A theme is the subject of a talk, a piece of writing, a person's thoughts, or an exhibition; a topic.
- Once you have your theme, start to imagine things that may be associated with that theme.
- Trace your record on practice paper. Begin to experiment with different sketches and ideas as to how you might paint your theme onto your vinyl record.
- When you have a completed design, we will enter the production stage of the creative process by painting your ideas onto your record. I look forward to seeing some of your designs. Here are some exemplars from previous classes!
